Heart failure and its impact
You have been prescribed Entresto® (sacubitril/valsartan) because you have been diagnosed with symptomatic chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.1 Heart Failure is a condition where your heart can't pump blood around your body as well as it should. It doesn't mean your heart has stopped working but you may need support to help it work better.2 This is the aim of your Entresto® treatment.
About sacubitril/valsartan and why it has been prescribed
Entresto is a heart medicine containing an angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor. It delivers two active substances, sacubitril and valsartan. The aim of this medicine is to combat the main symptoms of heart failure by relaxing the blood vessels and improving your heart’s ejection fraction, therefore allowing it to pump more efficiently.3,4
Sacubitril/valsartan is prescribed for adult patients for treatment of symptomatic chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.
